01 Direct P2P Architecture & Role

FlashPeer provides a decentralized, direct browser-to-browser file transfer software utility powered by standard WebRTC DataChannel protocols. By accessing or utilizing the FlashPeer application (at flashpeer.pages.dev or any affiliated mirror), you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined herein.

Zero Intermediary Storage: FlashPeer does not upload, copy, store, host, or inspect any files transmitted through the platform. Payload data travels directly between the sender and receiver without passing through our servers.

02 User Responsibilities & Conduct

As a decentralized peer-to-peer conduit, FlashPeer has zero visibility into file names or contents transmitted between connecting peers. You are strictly and exclusively responsible for all data, files, and materials you send or choose to receive.

You agree not to use FlashPeer for:

  • Transmitting copyrighted, proprietary, or confidential data without express authorization from the rights holder.
  • Disseminating malware, ransomware, trojans, viruses, or malicious scripts.
  • Distributing illegal, exploitative, threatening, or unlawful content in violation of any applicable local, state, national, or international jurisdiction.
  • Conducting harassment or unauthorized surveillance against any party.

03 Absolute Disclaimer of Liability

FlashPeer, its creators, authors, maintainers, and host providers assume no responsibility or legal liability whatsoever for:

  • Any content, data, or files exchanged between peers using the utility.
  • Any data corruption, incomplete transfers, hardware faults, or system disruptions resulting from network dropouts or browser incompatibilities.
  • Any malicious payload or virus transmitted by a peer room participant. Users are advised to only accept transfers from trusted parties and maintain up-to-date local antivirus protection.
"As-Is" Provision: The service is provided strictly on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

04 Signaling & Ephemeral Connections

FlashPeer coordinates peer connections via public WebRTC STUN/signaling servers solely to broker the initial peer handshake (exchanging network candidates and SDP session parameters). These signaling packets do not contain your files and expire immediately upon peer pairing.

05 Modifications & Termination

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service or discontinue the utility at any time without prior notice. Continued use of the platform after updates indicates full agreement with the revised terms.
